Currently a mall and tourism center owned and operated by the Howard Hughes Corporation – the South Street Seaport is a bustling collection of restaurants, stores, museums and other attractions located where Fulton Street meets the East River. Of particular note is the Titanic Memorial Lighthouse that was built in memorial to the RMS Titanic at the insistence of the Unsinkable Molly Brown. In addition to the lighthouse, the seaport also has a Maritime Museum that is home to several famous tugboats and schooners and the South Street Seaport Museum that hosts traveling exhibits like the popular BODIES exhibit.
